The Mother-Child-Pass is issued by the gynecologist as soon as a pregnancy is confirmed. It provides healthcare for expecting mothers and for infants up to five years of age. It includes five examinations during the pregnancy and the first 14 months of the child. The completion of these ten prescribed examinations is a requirement in order to obtain the full amount of a child care subsidy.
In the first week of life (after an outpatient or home birth)
4.-7. First week of life
3.-5. First month of life
7.-9. First month of life including the HNO examination*
10.-14. First month of life including an eye examination*
At the end of the first year of life, the following development checks are scheduled:
22.-26. Months
34.-38. Months
46.-50. Months
58.-62. Months
*if there aren’t any specific questions/concerns, then these examinations can be carried out and confirmed together with the pediatric examination
